Giving birth is without question one of the most physically difficult things a woman endures and it’s imperative that she has access to proper maternal care.  As a mother myself, I’m passionate that ALL moms should have access to healthcare and be able to birth their babies in a safe and supportive environment. Motherwell is proud to support Birthing Kit Foundation Australia (BKFA) to improve maternal and newborn health through their Birthing Kits. BKFA works in partnership with the Australian Community and a number of Global Organisations to pack and supply Clean Birth Kits to pregnant women living in rural communities around the world.

Each bum bag purchased allows us to make a donation equivalent to one Clean Birth Kit.

To date, 2.4 million Clean Birth Kits have been distributed to women in need. Kits are provided to mothers through community outreach programs, supplied to health facilities for use by doctors, midwives and nurses or distributed to traditional birthing attendants. They are designed to support hygienic practices and environments during childbirth in developing countries.
